Bug has quite the story! She was an orphaned foal (born in 2017) and raised by a family who loved her, but she was attacked one night by a pack of feral dogs and was severely injured. She was brought to the Sanctuary and our vet staff was able, through longs months of treatment and care, to pull her through. She has a few scars, but is now thriving, active, happy, and getting along well with another horse. It is wonderful to see her 'being a horse' and learning about all the good things in life. She has very fun coloring, is obviously full or part Appaloosa, so she has some spots and speckling.
She's all grown up and now and started under saddle. She is doing well under saddle but because of her compromised airway, she can't work very hard. As an orphan foal and a horse who's grown up with lots of human interaction, she is very self-confident around people and needs a very confident handler/rider to help her remember her manners, but she's friendly and silly, and looking for the perfect match.
