[CAMPAIGN ENDED] Urge Governor Holcomb to veto HB 1412.

UPDATED FEBRUARY 22, 2024: Urgent! House Bill 1412 passed the Indiana legislature and is on its way to the governor's desk. We have one final chance to stop this bill! Use the updated form to send a new message urging Gov. Holcomb to VETO HB 1412.

In recent years, 21 cities and counties throughout Indiana have protected pets and consumers by enacting sensible ordinances to prevent inhumane breeding mills from importing animals to be resold through local pet stores.

Now, the puppy mill industry is trying to undo that progress with a seemingly positive bill that makes it illegal for local governments to regulate them.

If enacted, House Bill 1412 would void local ordinances and protect unethical breeders, allowing pet stores to continue selling dogs and cats sourced from inhumane breeding mills. This would be a huge step backward for Indiana.
